Welcome to Deir John Studio! Deir John Studio is a husband and wife team, Deirdre DeLay and John Pierpoint. In our spare time we like to make pottery. John loves throwing pottery on the wheel and Deirdre loves to paint and sculpt.
We currently are members of the Morean Art Center in St. Petersburg, FL and use their facilities to create most of our pieces.
The painting on our pieces is all done free-hand usually with underglaze and is fired at cone 6. Deirdre uses Amaco Velvet Underglaze currently. If you have questions about any of the pieces or techniques please feel free to use the Contact Us page and send us an email!
